Babson has been an officer and trustee for over 30 years, and currently serves as President of the Association and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He is retired and lives with his wife Christine in Medfield, Massachusetts.

Osman Babson and his descendants lived on the property where the first ICC was moved. That church building had been erected in It was a simple frame structure with no belfry. Once the new church building was erected in on a new site see belowthe old church, purchased in by Colonel William Pearce, was moved to his farm in the Riverdale section of Gloucester for use as a barn.

The next year, inJohn Low Babsonthe owner of a grocery store in Riverdale, bought the farm and old barn at auction from the Pearce heirs. A year later, his son, Osman Babsonmoved to the Riverdale farm with his wife and three sons. He developed a truck gardening, apple orchard and diary business. The barn is the structure to the extreme left:. In Octobera gale damaged the old barn so severely that Osman Babson had it taken down.

The farm was taken over by his son, Dr. Elmer Warren Babsona veterinarian, who built a veterinary hospital on the property. The town took difficult but important steps to fund OPEB and reinstitute pension funding. Gig also was a founding trustee of the Centennial Fund, the first private endowment to support a public entity, the Wellesley Free Library, and served for many years as a Trustee of the Centennial Fund.

She also was instrumental in the establishment of The Fund for Wellesley, a permanent source of funding to foster innovation and collaboration in support of community needs and opportunities. She was the first woman to be elected a member of the Wellesley Club and she served as its president in She also served for several years as a Trustee of the Wellesley Scholarship Foundation.
